もともと1975年に出版された、きわめて高度なバッハ読本のなかに、日本の優れた現代作曲家・キーボードプレイヤー高橋悠治(たかはしゆうじ1938-)さんの、「可能性としてのバッハ」という対談形式インタビューが掲載されている。
(この史上まれにみる優れた書籍は、1981年に第二版が出版され、僕はそこでこの本と出会った)
そして現在、すでに80代半ばを迎えられて久しいキーボードプレイヤーのビデオインタビューを観ると、“僕にとっていい音楽っていうものはないんです。これは面白いな、僕にとって可能性があるなって感じられるのが大切で、いいとか悪いとかの価値をつけるものじゃないんです”と、相変わらず同じことをおっしゃっておられる。
こういうミュージシャンは、おそらく命が尽きるその日まで、自身の音楽の探求をし続けるのだろう。
他人(ひと)の作った音楽で僕が最もプレイするのがユパンキとバッハだが、僕はこれらの音楽を、良い音楽だからもっと多くの人々に聴いてもらいたいなど思ったことは一度もない。
バッハとユパンキは、僕にとって自身の音楽を創作するうえでの、極めて良質な「可能性」であり、そして最高の「絵筆」。決していいとか悪いとかの次元ではない。
考え方が全く同じというわけではないが、この日本のグラン・バッキアーノ(素晴らしいバッハ傾倒者)と僕には、少なからず共通点があると思えるのは嬉しい。
その僕が現在、最も「可能性」を感じるのが、ガルシア・ロルカの詩であり文学。来年1月26日の「富麗華」公演で、それをみなさまにご覧にいれることができればと願っています。

高橋悠治さんは僕にとって、「面白いな、可能性があるな」ということを教えてくださる、日本でもっとも素晴らしいプレイヤー。
いずれにせよ、今の世の中で、このようなクオリティの高い書籍が出版されることなど、全くもって考えられない。残念ながら世界は現在、文化芸術面において永劫の下降線を辿りつつある。

Un lector de Bach muy avanzado, publicado originalmente en 1975, incluía una entrevista con el maestro Yuji Takahashi (1938-), un gran compositor y teclista japonés contemporáneo, titulada “Bach como posibilidad”.
Y más tarde, después de 50 años, mucho después de haber cumplido 80 años, el maestro dice: “Para mí no existe la buena música. Lo que necesito es algo que me haga sentir que “puedo tener posibilidades”.”en su última entrevista. Este tipo de músicos probablemente continuarán explorando su música hasta el día de su muerte.
Lo que dice el maestro Takahashi tiene mucho en común con mi forma de pensar. La razón por la que interpreto a Bach y Yupanqui en obras de otras personas es que para mí no son más que posibilidades maravillosas.

E più tardi, dopo 50 anni, molto dopo averne compiuti 80, il maestro dice: “Per me non esiste la buona musica. Ciò di cui ho bisogno è qualcosa che mi faccia sentire che “posso avere delle possibilità”” nella sua ultima intervista. Questo tipo di musicisti probabilmente continueranno ad esplorare la loro musica fino al giorno della loro morte.
Ciò che dice il Maestro Takahashi ha molto in comune con il mio modo di pensare. Il motivo per cui eseguo Bach e Yupanqui nelle opere di altri è che per me non sono altro che meravigliose possibilità.

Et plus tard, 50 ans plus tard, bien après ses 80 ans, le maestro déclare : « Pour moi, la bonne musique n’existe pas. Ce dont j’ai besoin, c’est de quelque chose qui me donne l’impression que « je peux avoir une chance » » dans sa dernière interview. Ces types de musiciens continueront probablement à explorer leur musique jusqu’au jour de leur mort.
Ce que dit Maître Takahashi a beaucoup en commun avec ma façon de penser. La raison pour laquelle j’interprète Bach et Yupanqui dans les œuvres d’autres personnes est que pour moi, ce ne sont que de merveilleuses possibilités.

A Very Advanced Bach Reader, originally published in 1975, included an interview with maestro Yuji Takahashi (1938-), a major contemporary Japanese composer and keyboardist, entitled “Bach as Possibility.”
And later, 50 years later, well after his 80th birthday, the maestro declared: “For me, good music does not exist. What I need is something that makes me feel like ‘I might have a chance’” in his latest interview. These types of musicians will likely continue to explore their music until the day they die.
What maestro Takahashi says has a lot in common with my way of thinking. The reason I perform Bach and Yupanqui in other people’s works, is nothing but they are just wonderful possibilities to me.
