Ya estaban confirmado las fechas de conciertos y una vez he aceptado la invitación, sin embargo hace dos días he declinado a viajarme a España en mayo, 2020, después de considerarme que todavía están prematuros los eventos de ahí en la tierra hermosa para representar mi ‘Lorca, Yupanqui, etc.etc….’
Antes que ser un músico soy un hombre que persiste en la creencia en cualquier caso. Poe eso me encanta la vida de Leopoldo Lugones, y con un alto honor he compuesto una ‘suite’ homenajeada al gran poeta cordobés. Aunque no va a cambiar mi amor a España, tal vez ha de tomar más tiempo para realizar un evento de igual nivel como lo que hemos hecho en Villa de Maria del Rio Seco, mi segundo pueblo natal en 2014.
Lorca, Lugones… Ambos vivieron y murieron con su fe. Yo también me gustaría vivir y morir así.
Tomando esta oportunidad les Agradezco profundamente a las organizaciones españolas que conciernen este asunto por su generosa invitación.

The concert dates were already confirmed and I once had accepted the invitation, despite of that very recently I declined to go to Spain in May,2020, after considering carefully that these events are still premature for me to represent my ‘Lorca, Yupanqui etc.etc….’
Before being a musician, I’m a man who persists in faith in any case. That’s why I love the life of Leopoldo Lugones, and I composed a special ‘Suite’ to commemorates the 140 years anniversary for the birth of the great argentine poet with a great honor. Although my love for Spain will not change, perhaps it may take more time to me to be able to participate the event which must be the same level as what I did in Cordoba, Argentina in 2014. I truly don’t need to be hurry.
Lorca and Lugones… Both lived and died with their strong faith. I wish I could live and die like them.

コンサートの日時も決定し、公式な招待状も受けていたスペインへの演奏旅行だったが、残念ながら二日前、まだこの美しい国へ行って自分の’ロルカやユパンキ’を披露するには時期尚早と判断し、今回の辞退の旨を告げた。
写真の記事は2014年、アルゼンチン、コルドバ州政府からの依頼を受けて作曲した、国民詩人レオポルド・ルゴーネス生誕140年を記念する公式組曲「神々の炎」初演のために同国に渡った際の現地報道のオンライン版だが、このイベントは、コルドバという、自分にとってまさに第二の故郷というべき土地の人々との”真の連携”で行った、自分にとって全てが一つに結ばれた完全なものだった。
スペイン側の発想に何が深みを感じられないか具体的に言うことはできないが、こういったことをかの地で行うには、まだ少し時間がかかるだろう。別に慌てることはない。内容に納得がいかないもののために、多少の宣伝を目的に意志を曲げるということは、あとで必ず後悔を生むことになる。
アルゼンチンのルゴーネスも、スペインのロルカも、信念とともに生き、そして信念を貫いて死んでいった。自分は特に優れた才能もなく弱い人間だから、そこまで信念を貫けるかどうかわからない。が、願わくば自分も、二人の大詩人のように今後も生きて行きたいと願っている。
自分の参加なしで、今後このイベントが行われるのかどうかはわからないが、この場を借りて諸処につき、アンダルシアの政府機関、そしてマドリードの民間芸術機関の皆様に心から感謝とお詫びを申し上げる。
